High class knits

Readers of various knitting blogs may remember a few months ago, one keen knitter's attempt to replicate the Salvatore Ferragamo knitted bag. Kate from knitlit created the fake-a-gamo to replicate the US$1650 bag. Well the original SF bag has arrived in Australia. Last time I was at the Queen Victoria Building shopping centre, my eyes were instantly drawn to the catalogue cover.

Personally, I don't find the bag particularly attractive (and definitely not worth A$2670), but it is interesting to see knitted items be 'fashionable'.
