Yarn tales
In the absence of anything meaningful in my life I will just point out a few wool related activities. On July 23, the ABC had their annual Knit-In where they encourage Knitters to gather and provide squares for Wrap with Love, who turn them into rugs for needy people. I really like the idea of this and the breakfast sounds like a fun experience. However, its that 6am start that kills me. Maybe next year, especially as they are saying they hope to attract more male knitters next year!
Until August 27 the Powerhouse Museum has a Fashion from Fleece exhibit, celebrating 200 years of the Australian wool industry.
Finally, one of the things I am most excited by - Bendigo Woollen Mills has a web-site. I'm not sure exactly when this happened, but it is fairly recent. Usually I have to call them to place an order, but now I am can do it on line - yay. My most recent purchase (last week while it was still on sale) was of the very soft Boutique, in Ruby.
